CONSUMER, INVESTOR, AND WORKPLACE ISSUES

Consumer protection laws are designed to ensure fair competition and the free flow of truthful information in the marketplace. The laws are designed to prevent businesses that engage in fraud or unfair practices from gaining an advantage over competitors, and may provide additional consumer protection for the elderly, and those unable to take care of themselves. The Federal government and most states devote substantial resources to consumer and investor protection, but preventing such abuse is a never-ending

challenge to governments. We encourage our members to become involved in the effort to educate consumers and investors in order to prevent such abuse, and to assist in the fight against those who would take advantage of our fellow citizens..

There is one and only one social responsibility of business-to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase its profits so long as it stays within the rules of the game, which is to say, engages in open and free competition without deception or fraud.
