FOSTER CARE AND ADOPTION
In 2008, there were more than 500,000 children in the foster care system. More are entering than leaving the system. To accept a foster child is a huge decision for the foster family. It is associated with risks – what if he or she is too difficult for us? How will my other children react? Will it be too emotionally draining? To open your home and heart to a stranger can turn their life around and re-write their destiny, and yours.
